The PRISM Team
Christopher DeVito has over 20 years in the insurance industry. He was an agency owner for a direct writer until he sold that business in 2006. Christopher then purchased an Independent Insurance agency in West Salem the following year. As the owner of a full service independent agency Christopher is been able to offer his clients not only the personal lines and financial services he has in the past but is now able to cover all risks for his commercial and agriculture clients. After purchasing West Salem Insurance Agency Christopher joined James Dooley to form PRISM Insurance Brokers. This new platform was a logical extension of the Independent agency format that allows Christopher to offer a unique approach in reducing the risk and associated costs to his agencies middle market and larger commercial clients. Christopher received his Life Underwriters Training Council Fellowship in 1989 and graduated form Western Oregon State College (now WOU) in 1983. He has lived in the Mid Willamette Valley for 33 years and knows the risks facing fellow Oregonians and has the experience to offer professional advice in protecting what is important to the families and business of our region. Christopher has been active in numerous charity, fund raising and youth sports programs. He a past member of the Silverton Planning Commission and is currently on the board of directors for the West Salem Business Association. |
His prior experience includes several years working as the Chief Operating Officer and Sales Manager for Ribelin Lowell & Company Insurance Brokers, LLC in Alaska, which had over 60 employees and 75 million in written premiums with offices in Anchorage, Fairbanks and Soldotna. James also gained experience working at Sedgwick in Seattle, WA (now Marsh) as the Director of their National Port Authority Program, which included 65 Port Authority clients across North America. He also has worked on the company side with insurers such as Wausau, CNA, and Kemper, where he learned invaluable insights into the underwriting of risks. He obtained his professional certification of an Associate in Risk Management in 1997 and graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) with BA in Business Economics in 1982. James has also been an active member in the communities he has lived, serving as a board member on several humanitarian non-profit organizations and currently is a board member for the YMCA of Silverton, OR. |
While Jeanne started her insurance career in New York she has lived in Oregon since 1991 and has continued her commitment to providing outstanding client service for our insured’s. Her knowledge of the office operations and our clients needs make her a valuable tool in our ability to offer premier service to our customers. Jeanne has belonged to industry associations such as Insurance Women of Salem and many others over the years. Garth Larson - Garth Larson has been in the insurance industry for over 30 years. He has worked for various independent agencies in the Mid Willamette Valley area. With his agronomy degree from Idaho State University Garth is a natural fit to help the many farmers and ranchers in the Northwest. Garth is now expanding his insurance work to include benefits for individuals, groups and seniors. Garth has attained numerous insurance designations during his career including LUTCF and the distinguished CIC certificate. Garth has spent most of his adult life in the Willamette Valley and has been involved in many non profits, business, civic, youth and religious boards. Garth has been a well respected adviser to hundreds of households and business owners, helping them insure their futures and peace of mind.
